This Privacy Policy describes how the "AdSpyder" Chrome Extension ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use our extension.
Our extension is designed to be a tool that you control. We collect the following types of information solely to provide and improve the extension's functionality:
User-Provided Configuration Data: To activate and operate the extension, we store the License Key and Google Apps Script URLs that you provide in the options page. This information is stored locally on your device using chrome.storage.local.
Website Content: When you choose to use the extension's features, it reads and processes content from the active Facebook Ad Library page. This includes ad copy, hyperlinks, and URLs for images and videos. This data is only processed when you initiate an action (like "Save Ad" or "Download").
User Activity: The extension responds to your direct actions, such as clicks on the "Save Ad" or "Download" buttons, and manages the page's scroll behavior when you activate the "Auto-Scroll" feature.
Cached Data: To improve performance, the extension may temporarily store a list of your Google Sheet names locally using chrome.storage.local. This data is fetched from your own script and cached to reduce loading times.
The data collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:
To activate your copy of the extension by validating your License Key.
To enable the core functionality of saving ad data to your own Google Sheet via the script URLs you provide.
To download ad creatives to your local device at your request.
To save your settings and preferences for features like filtering and auto-save.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Data is only transmitted to two locations:
Your own Google Apps Script: When you save data, it is sent directly to the Google Apps Script URL that you configured.
Our License Validation Server: Your license key is sent to our validation script to confirm its authenticity.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information stored locally by the extension. However, please be aware that no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
